The development of the EMotion E-scooters is driven by a focus on the users’ needs and requirements. Therefore it was necessary to check whether the previously identified ideas and concepts are working as intended. Among these ideas was the development of an eco-coaching system, which assists the riders in riding efficiently with such a vehicle. An important milestone to do this was the finalization of an E-scooter riding simulator, which provides the ergonomics and behaviour of the final scooter and tests whether the eco-coaching concept is working efficiently for the users. The riding simulator is displayed below.
